Job Description

Supporting the Head of Recoveries and Litigation in every aspect of the Litigation process within Grenke, the role will include the participation in a Legal Apprentice training course. This includes virtual learning in live workshops and online forums, along with training conducted by Grenke subject experts via the Apprenticeship training programme for 20% of the working week.



Alongside the training, valuable experience will be gained by working in the Legal Department on a daily basis to experience essential work duties and responsibilities which include:




  • Communicating and negotiating, both verbally and in writing, with Lessee’s and external partners

  • Recording internal and external correspondence, including email, letter and telephone conversations

  • Maintaining sound and professional relationships with Grenke Agents and Grenke Lawyers/Barristers, ensuring Grenke’s expectations are met

  • Co-ordinating a large volume of potential legal cases

  • With training, manage own case load and progress cases through to Court Hearings and Mediations

  • Meeting court deadlines and ensuring all court documents have been completed, in line with the guidelines and process supplied by the judiciary body


Personal Qualities :

  • A confident communicator – able to quickly engage with Lessees’, external Partners and Solicitors, by phone and in writing

  • A flexible approach and driven to move cases along to completion

  • Perseverance - the desire to complete tasks to support colleagues and resellers

  • Team Player – working closely with your Line Manager, 10 Sales Branches and Head Office Departments within Grenke

  • Strong organisational abilities - including good time management, experience in managing workload priorities and working to targets within specific timelines

  • Confident in problem solving and has experience in dispute resolution



Skills Required :

  • Good telephone skills

  • Articulate with good attention to detail

  • Strong IT skills and numeracy skills

  • Experience in handling sensitive documents and managing sensitive data



Future Prospects :

  • To become a Chartered Legal Executive
