Job Description
The STP is a national model setting out the direction of Health and Social Care over the next 5 years. This role offers an apprentice the chance to work on a unique programme and develop skills, knowledge and experience in business administration which can lead to real longer-term employment opportunities within the NHS. This will be achieved via on the job training and formal training sessions to establish knowledge and understanding.
Duties will include:
- Working with the Corporate Office, you will provide administrative support to the team’s projects using various IT applications (e.g. Word, Excel, internet, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Undertake daily administration duties such as data input, data extraction, diary management, room bookings, filing, emailing, and photocopying to support the team
- Coordinate meetings; to include managing invites, collating, and distributing paperwork, taking minutes and action notes
- Manage an events diary for the Corporate team
- Update computer databases and spreadsheets, and assist in compiling and collating information for reports
- Respond to communications as required on behalf of the Corporate team
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate and efficient filing systems in line with Trust policies and procedures, both paper and electronic, and strict confidentiality
- To meet and greet all visitors as required in a courteous manner
- To be responsible for the use of physical equipment and to report any defects in equipment as appropriate
- Attend and take part in team meetings & regular reviews with line manager.

Future Prospects :
Eight out of ten individuals who complete an apprenticeship programme within the NHS secure permanent employment in NHS post with salaries of £14,000 + per year.
