Job Description
- You will learn about the different manufacturing processes on site before becoming part of the machining team
- Your role will focus on learning how use all of the machinery in the manufacturing area
- This will include learning how to set and operate the manual mills, lathes and grinding equipment on site
- You will also learn how to set and operate the CNC Mills and Sliding Head lathes
- The role will include setting up work holding devices, selecting appropriate cutting tools and adjusting parameters to ensure parts are manufactured effective
- You will gain an insight into the problems experienced by the production team
- Once competent you will be able to consider and anticipate possible problems
- Part of your future problem-solving activities will include devising machining strategies, selecting appropriate cutting tools and editing programmes to resolve issue

- Solartron are located in Bognor Regis, you must be able to get yourself here reliably
- You will be expected to work flexibly as part of a highly skilled team

- Be able to work well both as part of a team and as an individual
- Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary
- You will be enthusiastic, with a good work ethic, willingness to learn and ability to work on your own initiative
Skills Required :
- Have good numeracy skills
- Be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, with a good standard of written and spoken English
- Good hand skills
- Good attention to detail
