Vacancy: Skilled Fabricator - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Royston
Our Noble Metals business currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced fabricator to join their team in Royston.
You will be working alongside a team of metal fabricators and reporting to the Fabrication Team Leader producing bespoke products, both fabricated and machined components produced from precious metals, using lathes, mills, grinders, welders and traditional sheet metal equipment and hand skills.

Key responsibilities- Welding, machining and sheet fabrication to safely meet a high-quality specification;
- Taking responsibility for your own safety, complying with JMs safe working practices and following PPE direction and contributing to a healthy and safe working environment;
- Completing a programme of training to ensure continued development of your own skills and expertise, undertaking additional training skills to keep abreast of technology changes, and the changing needs of the business;
- Carrying out tasks and duties as directed by the Fabrication Team Leader that will contribute to the levels of performance and competence required;
- To produce complex, tight tolerance, small batch components of up-to 50 individual items and anything from large multi-component fabrications to individual micro components.
You will have/be:
- A demonstrable experience in manufacturing of high spec components;
- High personal Health and Safety standards;
- Ability to comprehend drawings and work specifications;
- Relevant qualifications or training in Sheet Metal Fabrication/Welding;
- An apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline of fabrication would be desirable as is a mechanical engineering qualification.
