South and City College Birmingham are delighted to be working in partnership with The Electrical Folks ,a leading West Midlands Electrical Services organisation. As part of the on-going growth of the business, this employer is looking to recruit an electrical apprentice to join an existing team of professionals on a wide variety of exciting projects across the West Midlands. This is an exciting long-term opportunity which will see the Apprentice working with and being mentored by a qualified Electrical installation specialist.
You will be working on a range of high profile projects including planned installation and reactive electrical maintenance. The role will see you working on Construction sites and in Industrial and Commercial buildings.
This company is passionate about developing skills for its staff and have invested in apprentices in the past. They are keen to offer employment opportunities for people who are genuinely interested in developing a career in this competitive sector. You will be attending College in Birmingham 1 day per week for 4 years working towards your Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship.
The job:
- To provide assistance to an experienced. The aim is to learn and develop the skills needed to become a qualified electrician
Responsibilities:
- To work closely with and learn from Installation Engineers
- Assist with full electrical installations to an extremely high standard. This will include BMS Installations, Domestic Installations and Heating and Ventilation
- Installation of cable management systems such as tray and trunking
- Working within all Health and Safety guidelines, both site and company specific, to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you
- Ensuring a clean working environment as well as respecting our clients’ premises at all times
- Pulling in and securing the required cabling
- The safe and appropriate use of hand and powered tools when required
