Job Description

Persimmon Homes, Yorkshire requires an Apprentice Finance Administrator to work at our office based in Fulford. The successful candidate will work as part of the finance team to support and provide administrative support to the Finance Office. The Apprentice would gain knowledge, skills and experience from the existing members of the team whilst working towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification.



Throughout the apprenticeship the apprentice would be trained and the role will develop to include the full range of finance administration duties such as:




  • Maintaining our on line filing system for company payments

  • Processing the Purchase Ledger and Sub-Contractor Ledger

  • Processing the cashbook entry using the COINS system

  • Timesheet processing

  • Develop further responsibilities for their own Supplier

  • Processing employees expenses



The role includes contact with our purchasers and suppliers, handing confidential information (GDPR training will be provided) and liaising with the technical, surveying, sales and accounts teams within the regional office. Confidentiality is very important under data protection.



Full support and training will be given throughout from dedicated managers. Upon the successful completion of a probationary period access to a company pension, bonus scheme and healthcare scheme are available. For the right apprentice wanting an entry level position into accounts, it is almost a perfect start.

Skills Required :

  • The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, well organised individual who can prioritise their workload and be able to communicate at all levels in a pleasant and professional manner with excellent telephone skills

  • The successful candidate will have to demonstrate a good level of accuracy and attention to detail along with first rate communication skills

  • A basic website knowledge would be advantageous

  • Be computer literate to include Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Becoming a fully trained member of the sales team.
