Job Description
Duties will include:
- Supporting people with social and physical activities
- Booking and going with people to appointments
- Helping with personal care such as support with showering, dressing and with eating and drinking
- Providing care for patients with dementia
- Monitoring individuals conditions by taking their temperature, pulse, respiration and weight and possibly helping with medication
- You will be delivering quality personal care to each of our residents in their homes
- Ensuring they feel part of life in their own home. This will see you providing care, warmth and kindness to help make a difference
- You will develop relationships with relatives (where relevant) who will support you in understanding their needs more and developing that personal care
Personal Qualities :
- The ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise your workload
- Good listening and communication skills
- The ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
- Good writing skills to fill in care plans
Skills Required :
- Must hold a valid UK driving license
- Further training provided
Future Prospects :
Upon completion of the level two apprenticeship, there is possible opportunity to progress to level 3.
