Job Description
Initially you would be assisting a fully qualified operative whilst you learn product knowledge and become familiar with woodworking machinery - Band Re-Saw, Wall Panel Saw, Cross Cut Saw, Dimension Saw, Spindle Moulder and Fully Automatic Cross Cut Saw.
In addition you will aim to become fully proficient in the use of a Counter Balance (Fork Lift Truck) and a Side Loader. As part of the role you will be invited to take tests on all machinery and receive certification as appropriate.
Ear Defenders and High Viz clothing is provided to all employees. You will be required to provide your own suitable protective footwear and your own tape measure. Hours of work are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime (including on Saturday morning during the summer months) may become available.
We offer four weeks annual paid leave per year, plus all bank holidays and an additional, up to two days, between Christmas and the New Year. You will be invited to join the company pension scheme which will initially match the minimum requirements of the Statutory Pension Scheme.
