Job Description
The job role is varied but the main duties will include:
- Dealing with patient queries and requests
- General office duties such as scanning and emailing
- Maintaining the GP database i.e. registering new patients and creating new files
- Filing patient records and hospital correspondence
- Dealing with telephone queries from surgeries, hospitals and pharmacies
- Preparing Medical Reports
- Preparing Invoices
Personal Qualities :
- Outgoing and positive personality
- Customer service attitude
- High level of motivation
- Be able to use own initiative
- Able to adopt a calm approach in high-pressure situations
Skills Required :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of IT
- Good organisational skills
- Experience in a customer facing role not required but confidence in dealing with people is essential
Future Prospects :
We have taken on excellent apprentices in the past. The skills and knowledge gathered in this role would be an excellent steppingstone if the candidate was interested in an administrative career in the NHS.
