Apprentice Administration Assistant – Lancaster

Verdant Leisure own and operate holiday parks in some of the UK’s most picturesque spots across Scotland and the North of England. The Team



Our Head Office is in Lancaster, where our Accounts, Marketing, Holiday Sales and HR teams provide support for the parks and help drive the business forward. The Head Office team are fun, friendly and passionate about the holiday park industry. We work hard and understand that team work really does make the dream work!! We also like to celebrate our achievements, no matter how big or small, personal or professional. Basically, any excuse to bring in cake and biscuits!



The Role



You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support such as:




  • Answering and dealing with telephone enquiries

  • Inputting information into databases

  • Typing

  • Booking appointments

  • Maintaining filing systems

  • Scanning and photocopying



Reporting to the HR Officer you will work closely with all the teams at head office, with the chance to work on specific tasks and gain experience within the HR, marketing, accounts and sales teams. You will also liaise with the teams on park to ensure that administrative processes are clear and adhered to in a timely manner. The role is key to ensuring that the administration side of the business runs smoothly. You will be encouraged to work on your own initiative as well as being part of a team.



The Person



You will need to be enthusiastic, driven and confident, with excellent communication skills. You must be detail oriented and able to prioritize and perform multiple projects and tasks, with the ability to create business correspondence and spreadsheets and accurately proofread each prior to distributing or mailing. As the role involves dealing with personal data and confidential information you will be expected to handle these with discretion and professionalism. Above all, you will need to have the right attitude. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and so we expect you to do everything in your power to make their Verdant experience the absolute best it could possibly be. We don’t believe in ‘that’s not my job’ so you will need to be adaptable and flexible to help the wider team meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.
