Job Description

The post holder will:




  • Input into, monitor and print reports from electronic systems

  • Ensure appropriate adjustments are made to the budget reconciliation’s as directed by the CPD Management Accountant

  • Provide an admin support function for the Training and Development team as directed

  • Be first point of contact for service users signposting to appropriate departments

  • Ensure all telephone calls are received and dealt with in a courteous and diplomatic manner

  • Maintain electronic and paper based systems working within agreed guidelines

  • Ensure internal and external communication is distributed appropriately and dealt with in a timely manner

  • Arrange and book meetings for CPD funding meetings ensuring rooms are appropriate for use, including hospitality and equipment if required

  • Acknowledge all requests for funding for CPD received into the department in an efficient and timely manner within set timescales

  • Maintain appropriate and accurate records for audit purposes

  • Provide appropriate cover if required within an agreed area to maintain service provision

  • Participate in audits within the scope of the role

Skills Required :

  • Knowledge of NHS Finance protocols and procedures

  • Knowledge of basic accountancy and financial management

  • Well-developed skills in communicating effectively with staff and NHS colleagues

  • Good team working and communication

  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
