Job Description

You will be working as a web application developer apprentice working towards a qualification as a Level 3 Software Developer Technician. You will assist with writing, debugging, and testing web applications, network performance data collection tools, implementing AI algorithms and running system tests. You will gain experience in:




  • Web application platforms and tools (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Micro Services)

  • Programming skills in HTML, CSS, SQL, Python, JavaScript and Node.js

  • Web application frameworks including Vue.js and Django.

  • AI Frameworks.

  • Computer networks and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, BGP, RTSP)

  • DevOps and CI/CD pipelines

    Version control e.g. GitHub


Personal Qualities :

  • Self-motivated

  • Keen and eager to learn

  • Passion to learn new coding language

  • Flexible and adaptable



Skills Required :

  • Good communication skills both written and speaking

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Passion for learning new coding languages

  • Comfortable communicating complex technical information to a range of stakeholders, including peers, experts and non-experts and customers

  • Take ownership of tasks and work to tight deadlines



Future Prospects :

  • Upon completion of the apprenticeship, it is likely that there will be a full-time role available at the business and an option to complete a Level 4 Software Developer apprenticeship. There will be opportunities to gain further industry certifications e.g. AWS Certified Developer
