Are you looking for a career in the security industry?
We are seeking an apprentice to engage in a three to four-year apprenticeship studying towards the Fire and Security Level 3 Apprenticeship standard. The successful candidate will spend one day per week attending Chichester College and four days per week working with our qualified engineers assisting with installing high end security systems.

A three-year apprenticeship with a combination of work based learning and formal day release at Chichester College. You will be working with a qualified engineer or small team, visiting our customers at both commercial and residential properties undertaking a range of roles to assist and support the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems to a high standard. This includes but is not limited to intruder alarms, access control, and CCTV systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Promote the Company image by personal bearing, attitude, and behaviour at all times
- Provide cover and assistance to other team members when required or directed and adopt internal customer care standards
- Present your ID upon arrival at customer premises and adopt excellent customer relations in accordance to the Company’s standards of customer care.
- Assisting with site surveys and job planning
- Implementation of installation work of all types to current standards
- Giving assistance to other installation teams when required
- Alarm principles understood and training log kept up-to-date daily
- Ability to adopt an understanding of and support new and emerging technologies which may become part of the industry during the apprenticeship period
- To obtain a thorough working knowledge of all current installation standards employed by the company
- Obtain a hands-on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, service and maintenance of intruder alarms, access control and CCTV
- To attend regular college sessions to meet the qualification
- To achieve an industry recognised qualification as a Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Technician Level 3
- Responsible for own Health and Safety and how actions may affect the Health and Safety of others on site
Transport from our office to and from the customers premises will be provided.
You will receive on the job training and toolbox talks to support your apprenticeship, such as:
- Installing to relevant industry standards and codes of practice
- Commissioning systems
- Completing commissioning documentation and marking up as fitted drawings.
- Completing demonstrations and handover to end user.
Duration of college apprenticeship is 3 years (full apprenticeship period up to 4 years). Pay reviews will be carried out in accordance with the Company Apprenticeship grading structure and individual’s performance.

Skills Required :
As this is an apprentice position no previous skills in the industry will be required, you will however need:
- Excellent communication skills
- Be able to travel to our office each morning, on time
- Be able to use basic hand tools (i.e. a screwdriver, hammer etc)
- Basic IT experience/knowledge
