Job Description

Trainee / Junior Engineers

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire.
Salary: Dependent on age & previous experience, but will fall within a band of £17,000-£20,000 per annum excluding additional overtime.
Contract: This is a permanent full time position that will include additional overtime outside of the standard working week. Standard hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Established & based in Banbury, Cherwell Doors has grown from originally specialising in the industrial door market to supplying domestic garage doors as well. In addition to our many conventional projects, we pride ourselves on tackling the most challenging tasks, including bespoke installations for a number of clients.

We offer supply & installation of all industrial doors & entrance systems, including repairs & maintenance on existing doors. Additionally, we supply, maintain & install high quality garage doors for the domestic market.

About the role

Cherwell Doors are looking for two trainee engineers/door fitters to join their Banbury team. As the successful candidates will be working with a Banbury based engineer, you must be within a short & manageable commute of the Banbury office.

What we need from you

The ideal candidates must have a keen interest in mechanical engineering, a willingness to learn & an ability to work under instruction, in order to carry out repairs, maintenance & installations on industrial & domestic garage doors. A full company training scheme will be available for the right applicants; however, any previous transferrable engineering skills would be beneficial.

A 'can do', hands on attitude, flexibility, problem solving skills & excellent customer service manner essential. Additionally, you will need to be equipped with your own hand tools.

A full, clean driving licence is essential for this position, as you be required to travel by company vehicle to client's premises.
