Job Description
This is an opportunity to join a warm and welcoming staff team, in a community based school rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted (June 2018). Our school was re built in 2011 and offers a high quality, attractive learning environment.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
Organisation:
- Undertake general reception duties, making and taking telephone calls, taking messages, face-to-face enquiries, liaising with relevant staff, outside agencies, parents, sharing with visitors etc.
- Providing hospitality e.g. for meetings
- Assist with school events e.g. photographer visits and school fayres
- Escorting visitors and contractors around the school
Administration:
- Provide general clerical / administration support e.g. filing, photocopying, complete standard forms
- Maintain manual and computerised records / management information systems. Produce lists, information, data as required e.g. pupil information
- Undertake IT tasks such as recording attendance and school meals
- Sort and distribute mail
- Maintain and collate pupils’ reports
Resources:
- Operate relevant equipment, IT packages (E.G. Word, Excel, databases, spreadsheets, internet)
- Maintain stocks and supplies, re-ordering when requested
- Producing classroom resources and assisting with displays
- Undertake general administration for ordering and deliveries
Responsibilities:
- Be aware of and comply with policies for safeguarding, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
- Be aware of and support difference and support opportunities for all
- Contribute to the overall ethos / aims of the school
- Support the role of other professionals
- Attend and participate in relevant meetings, training and performance development as require

Skills Required :
- Sound knowledge using computers and ICT

- A friendly disposition and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
