Our Appointments Team is currently recruiting a number of Consultants due to growth and expansion of the business and the team.

This role would suit individuals who have had previous experience in customer facing / sales roles such as retail, customer services, leisure and hospitality and are now looking to develop a career with a successful and ambitious business services company. Recent graduates with some commercial experience who would like to establish a career in recruitment are also very welcome to apply!

We offer excellent training and development with a mix of internal and external courses alongside the industry recognized qualification, REC Certificate in Recruitment Practice.

Trainee Recruitment Consultant (Permanent Division)

Location: Heywood

Salary: Basic; circa: £20K-22K

The Role:

You will be working on permanent vacancies to make sure that our clients' expectations are being met. You may also work on some contract/ temporary roles if required.

You will be joining a very well-established team with a strong client data base and good reputation in a particular vertical market. The role, however will still require you to develop the market further and the candidate will be required to work with vacancies coming from both existing and new clients.

Your main responsibilities will include…

  • Developing effective working relationships with existing and new customers
  • Managing the recruitment cycle from attracting candidates to placement with the client
  • Assessing and evaluating candidates
  • Achieve or exceed targets and objectives
  • Preparing candidates CVs, Job Specifications, Adverts and other paper work required
  • Presenting candidates to clients with recommendation and supporting evidence
  • Assigning candidates to permanent and temporary positions
  • Rates negotiations with the clients
  • Daily review of new applicants and searching for potential candidates by using Internet based sources
  • Communicating with both existing and new clients including arranging and attending clients' visits to understand requirements and negotiate fees

  • Professional telephone manner and appearance
  • Excellent standard of spoken and written English
  • Must have an engaging personality with ability to build rapport and trust
  • An ambitious and competitive nature
  • Confident, money motivated, results driven, determined, outgoing with engaging personality
  • Full driving licence and ideally own transport is required as the role will involve occasional travel to clients' meetings
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Must have excellent organisational skills with the ability to run multiple projects
  • Some previous commercial experience would be advantageous
