Job Description

CERAN is a Belgian company which specialises in language and intercultural training. It has provided courses for over 40 years, and currently offers 11 languages in several centres in Europe.

CERAN Juniors is responsible for the residential programme which runs in the school holidays, for young students aged from 9 to 17 from around the world.

CERAN's language courses aim not only to teach, but to foster social interaction between students of different countries and cultures, by using a common language in all classes and activities plus meals and breaks.

Activity Leaders will lead groups of 9 – 17 year old language students in on-site activities, and accompany them on excursions. You will also help with arrivals and departures at the centre, welcoming students and their parents. You will be working in the English Department, with students from a variety of countries. A very important part of the job is encouraging and helping the students to practise English at all times.

Activities will include sports, arts and crafts, well-being (yoga, aerobics, etc), and performing arts. You should be skilled in at least one of these fields, be able to teach or coach your specialist subject, and have experience of leading groups. A genuine enthusiasm, good sense of responsibility and maturity, and flexibility are required.

Courses run from late June to late August, and you should be able to work for at least four or five weeks of the nine week programme. The earliest start date, including training days, is 19th June (arrive on 18th). Later start dates will be available during the summer, depending on your availability and our student numbers.

Weekly hours will be from 30 - 38, with a salary of €uros 1413.28 - 1790.15 gross per calendar month. You will have at least one full day off per week.

Benefits include paid training, on-site accommodation and all meals. Round trip travel expenses of up to €375 will be reimbursed on production of receipts.

Full details are given in the information and application pack.
