What will the apprentice be doing?
- You will be working with experienced trades people on site
- Contributing to our production from day 1
- Hod carrying
- Mixing mortar
- Laying bricks (once skilled enough)
- Digging foundations
- Building 5-star quality homes for our customers
- You’ll always have a senior mentor from the business who will help you with your learning and offer you career advice from someone who has been on the same journey
You will learn many different skills, including setting out and build brickwork, including simple arches and surrounding brickwork. Cavity walling, learning how to select materials and resources to be able to set out and lay concrete, drainage and other substructure materials. Health and Safety will also be an important part of your learning.
We pay BATJIC rates starting rates are from £10,700- £16,670 dependent on age. BATJIC rates are reviewed in June of each year.

Future Prospects :
You’re going to have great options once you’re finished. You could go and work for one of our sub-contractors, set yourself up as self-employed or in some areas of the country work for us permanently as a qualified tradesperson.
Some Apprentices carry on training through our Assistant Site Manager Programme or go on to do one of our Sponsored Degree Programmes.
