Role - Trainee Conveyancer / Legal Assistant / Law Graduate

Location - Central Manchester

Salary - £17200 Plus Excellent benefits

Our Client is the No.1 in England & Wales in terms of conveyancing matters by volume and so offer excellent career opportunities. JOB SUMMARY - You will be working within a high-volume residential conveyancing environment and should be able to:

  • Carry out general administrative duties to a high standard;
  • Communicate with clients and third parties in a professional manner;
  • Provide good customer service

CURRENT EXPERIENCE: You will have experience working in a busy office environment - in Legal; Customer Service; Call Centre or similar and will be now seeking to use the skills & experience to move into a long term Legal career.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Attaching legal correspondence to files electronically;
    • Dealing with legal enquiries;
    • Proactively chasing third parties; and
    • Chasing sale memorandum's, landlords' details, initial payments for searches, obtaining copies of client identification;
    • Obtaining redemption statements;
    • Confirming instructions.
    • Manage a small caseload of simple freehold transactions (circa 40) under direct supervision of the Team Leader/Conveyancing Manager, until such time as your manager deems it appropriate to increase your portfolio of cases.

As a proficient conveyancer to their clients, you will work with your client to guide them through the home-moving process - whether it's supporting them buying their first home, a freehold or a leasehold transaction purchase. A legal or graduate background isn't essential as we'll teach you everything you need to become a conveyancing expert. If you are ambitious, driven, great with people, down to earth and not shy of getting stuck in, this could be just the role for you.

If you have any of the following desirable skills, even better:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
