Job Description

Full time position which is 40 hours over 5 days working a shift pattern between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Our position is currently available in our Pre-school room which is aged 2 ½ years until school age however they may be expected to work in any room from ages 6 months upwards. This is at our Lofthouse setting, which is based in the grounds of Rodillian Academy, postcode WF3 3PS.



Job duties will include:




  • Provide care and attend to the welfare of the children at all times

  • Maintain and provide a safe environment

  • Be involved in planning long-term and day-to-day activities to stimulate and promote the development of the children

  • Help the children to develop basic social skills and promote good hygiene standards

  • Provide a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations

  • Understand the importance of safeguarding procedures and maintaining confidentiality

  • Assist in snack and meal times

  • Participate in relevant training

  • Setting up of pre-school, indoors and out

  • Support the work of the Early Years’ Foundation Stage principles of integrated care and education for children ages 2 – 5

  • Work in accordance with policies and procedures



No childcare experience is required however, if they have some idea about working in childcare or have done a basic qualification, that would be great. We are also looking for someone that is wanting to train in a childcare qualification preferably up to Level 3.
