Job Description

Trainee Software Support Analyst

The role will suit an articulate, self-driven and eager to learn individual who would like to either begin their career as a software support analyst or who is now looking for their next career challenge in this area. We are looking for individuals with an IT background (or interest in technology) and a logical problem-solving mindset to work closely with the Service Desk Manager on mostly BAU and some project-based work in the future.

We are looking for a candidate with a passion for computer software, who wants to develop their skills and build a career. Initially the role will be geared towards software support, with gradual exposure to SQL server and .net programming. You will enjoy full training and regular performance related pay rises.

Based in Shipton on Stour, Oxfordshire, this is an ideal environment for an IT Graduate or IT Support Analyst to learn, develop and excel in IT Support whilst being surrounded by a supportive and vibrant organisation. You will gain exposure to new technologies and be responsible for system and application support.

Person Profile

We are opening this vacancy to recent graduates with 6 months commercial experience as well college leavers with a passion for technology potentially seeking their next career move. You will join a small service function and therefore personality fit will be crucial. In order to be successful in this role it is vital that you show a keen interest in IT and enjoy helping and proactively reducing support queries as well as possess excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Skills required

  • Ideally some commercial experience in an IT Support role
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to explain technical issues to non-IT staff
  • Good working knowledge and interest in technology
  • Relevant IT qualification
