Job Description
Join us on the NCS Programme this summer! NCS is a unique, once in a life time opportunity for 15 – 17 year olds to build skills for work and life including 2 weeks of residential stays.
You’ll stay at the residential centre (e.g. university / outward-bound) for 7 weeks throughout the summer. The purpose of this role is to manage and organise the activities that each NCS group will be taking part in at the venue.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the smooth running of the multiple NCS teams on the programme
- Delegate activities and information for each group taking part in a variety of activities such as water sports, outdoor adventure, team building and life skills
- Create a fun, inclusive atmosphere helping everyone get the most out of their experience
- Maintain high levels of care and safety
- Respond to any issues / emergencies effectively and quickly
- Support the NCS’ objectives of Social Cohesion, Engagement and Integration
Pay: You’ll be able to earn from £297 to £405 a week.
We’re looking for…
- Strong organisational and management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Group management experience
- Experienced in and enjoys working with young people
- Previous experience in a residential setting is desirable
