Job Description

Duties to include:




  • To maintain the standards of cleanliness and tidiness of the shop and workshop

  • To effectively merchandise products in store, ensuring that both window and cabinet displays are reviewed and refreshed quarterly (pricing, visual merchandising, silver dipping and cleaning of products)

  • Management of the sales process in store and at outside promotional events (including wedding fayres), from lead taking to customer fulfilment

  • Develop an up to date industry knowledge

  • Advise on buying and fashion trends in jewellery, assisting in the purchasing process

  • Assist in planning and producing advertising campaigns, looking at seasonal demand of a variety of products (wedding rings, ‘A Ring is Re-born’, engagement rings etc.) across various social and printed media platforms

  • Ability to use initiative, especially with customers

  • Attention to detail

  • Must have the drive and determination to succeed within a retail environment     




Freedoms and Constraints:





  • No direct expenditure authorisation

  • In due course, develop decision making and pricing of jobs / products within the parameters set by the Business Owner

  • Update Business Owner of current issues with regards to both customers and other external factors



Apprentices must show commitment to the following:




  • To achieve apprenticeship framework (Functional Skills, NVQ and Technical Certificate) within the specified time frame

  • Attend the apprenticeship induction programme

  • Attend all of the training sessions for the programme whenever necessary

  • Undertake any other required development work as part of the apprenticeship programme as requested

  • Any other duties as deemed appropriate by senior staff



Apprenticeships start throughout the year and are open to any age of candidate.
