Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice to join a successful and established Financial Services Organisation.
Settlement of securities is a business process whereby securities are delivered, usually against payment of money. Settlement involves the delivery of securities and the corresponding payment. This role is to ensure timely delivery/receipt of said securities and payments.
The main responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Arrange payments, deliveries and resolve issues with Counterparty's on new trades, pending trades, trades due or past settlement.
- Processing of bought & sold transfers for certificated holdings.
- Monitor & resolve outstanding open bought & sold transactions to ensure timely settlement
- Dealing with Deceased estates to ensure the correct legal documentation is in place.
- Liaison with Company Registrars regarding cross border deliveries, validating benefits and verifying certificated holdings.
- Successfully liaising with Counterparty Brokers regarding Settlement Instructions, cross border trading and stock deposits.
- General filing & administration duties.
- To be a point of contact for all aspects of settlement processing.
- To assist both internal & external clients with any settlement related issues.
- To become a key support member of the settlements team and provide cover when required
In order to be considered for this appreciship, suitable applicants MUST:
- Be an excellent communicator
- Have stong Microsoft Excel skills
- Have attained a a MINIMUM of 2/3 A level or A level equivalent (BTEC) passes and 2 GCSE passes in English and Maths or equivalent.
