Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Deal with all correspondence and matters with discretion and in a confidential and professional manner

  • Support the preparation of essential paperwork linked to Person Centred Reviews (PCR) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) and co-ordinate the review meetings.  Collate, track and follow up essential paperwork, uploading relevant documents to Weytrack for students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND)

  • Update records and provide reports on additional learner support needs (ALS)

  • Monitor attendance for SEND and ALS students, liaise with lecturers and produce reports

  • Support the exam access arrangement process. Arrange and record assessment appointments, check referrals for sufficient information to meet JCQ guidelines and collate evidence for submission to exams

  • Undertake a range of administrative tasks, including but not limited to, word processing, filing, record keeping, post, data entry and production of reports

  • Complete miscellaneous correspondence regarding learner support, student support needs and exam access arrangements as required, by telephone or email

  • Help prepare for / assist at school open days / career events, college recruitment events and enrolment sessions when necessary

  • Undertake appropriate personal and professional development activities and record on the College Continuing Professional Development (CPD) system

  • Manage and minimise risk within all areas of responsibility
