Job Description

An Important Part of The Bushcraft Company’s Operations Team is the Estate Logistical Operation Teams. Within these teams we have our Logistics Assistants which we are looking to recruit for our 2020 Season. Our Logistics Assistants provide a crucial support link between the Estate Managers and the Camp Teams.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Movement of inbound and outbound food, equipment and customer luggage
  • Light maintenance of company vehicles as well as routine checks
  • Customer Transfers between pre-determined locations

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, driving vehicles on and off road, has a keen eye for detail and who is able to work off their own initiative when required.

It is important that the applicant is eager to learn new skills as full training in off road driving, towing trailers off road and first aid is provided. A multitude of other inhouse training courses are available such as; safeguarding, manual handling, COSHH and more.

A free camping pitch will be provided at one of our Woodland Locations for the term of your employment.

Rates of Pay: £17,000 pro-rata

Badminton Woods, Blenheim Palace, Boughton Woods, Castle Howard, Cholmondeley Castle, Cornbury Park, Cuffley Camp, Knebworth House, Penshurst Place and West Dean College

    • Full Training provided, no bushcraft experience required

The Bushcraft Company is a leading provider of outdoor education, offering residential trips to students across 10 secluded beautiful woodland estates, from Yorkshire to Kent, our outdoor jobs are all about a love of adventure, education, fun and of course the great outdoors. As an outdoor residential provider our season runs from the beginning of May – October, we have students ages 7-17 years-old come to our woodlands throughout this time.

Selection & Appointment Process: Candidates will be required to complete The Bushcraft Company pre-camp training programme. All appointments are subject to satisfactory training attendance, references and enhanced DBS Status.

Qualifications

  • Full training is provided for all of our roles, no bushcraft experience is required.
    Full UK drivers licence with a minimum of 1 years experience
    Previous experience driving vans and towing is desired but not essential.
  • If successful, you must have permission to work in the UK by the start of your employment
  • You must have a UK driving licence
