Job Description

Here at Aintree, home of the Randox Health Grand National we are looking for committed, talented and driven people to join our culinary team providing over 12000 covers at the 2020 Grand National Festival and beyond.

Roles vary from Kitchen Assistants, Commis Chefs, Chef de Partie, through to Sous Chef and Lead Chef.

You will be expected to work in a fast paced, bustling kitchen environment at one of our many hospitality or retail outlets on site at Aintree, performing to one of our various service styles from A La Carte, Carvery, Buffet or Banqueting.

You will also have the opportunity to join our team across our 3 racecourses, Aintree, Carlisle and Haydock Park to work on race days, concerts, conferences and events - each shift will bring something different.

Responsibilities include:
• Provide outstanding food that is delivered and presented to an exceptional standard
• Ensuring all food is produced to the highest working guidelines on food preparation
• Ensuring your team are working in adherence with company policy, service and staff welfare
• Working as part of a small or large team
• Adhering to all health and safety practices
• Use of specific equipment which will be trained based on role
• Performing to a high standard including presentation, attendance and communication.

Qualifications

  • As a person, you must: • Be 18+ years of age • A passion for design and quality of food • 2+ years’ experience in a role similar working across hospitality or event-based industry (desirable) • Ability to work under pressure • Show a high level of confidence
