Job Description

As the Finance Apprentice at Tide, you'll join an ambitious team of highly motivated, talented Tideans who love to collaborate, and are driven by helping people achieve their business ambitions. A typical day

  • As part of our Finance team, you will be helping us to look after the money! We're looking for someone who can come on board and help us operate all of our accounting systems, apps and software, making sure they run like clockwork.
  • You will be involved with monitoring our bank accounts, processing supplier invoices, processing employee expense claims, preparing payment runs, and generally looking after the data within our systems to ensure it's kept accurate and up-to-date.
  • You will be working closely with our Management Accountant, who will be on hand to support, teach, and mentor you to become a super-important part of our team.
  • Alongside the day job, you'll be offered time off work to study towards a professional finance qualification (e.g. AAT, CIMA, etc). You will learn all of the theory and technical know-how which you'll need in the role, and you'll then have the opportunity to bring it back and apply to real-life situations.

You must have

  • Five GCSE grades C - A* (4-9) or equivalent, including English and Maths
  • B or 5 at GCSE Maths
  • Level 3 qualification (A level, BTEC or equivalent)

Training provided:

  1. Training on the 18 month Standard Level 3 Assistant Accountant (AAT3) apprenticeship.
  2. Being a WhiteHat apprentice means access to awesome social events, sports teams, insight/career days with other apprentices to grow your network, as well as your own personal Coach who will guide you through the qualification to help you achieve your full potential.
  3. As part of your WhiteHat Apprenticeship, you will have access to our Future Leaders Foundation modules to develop 6 key competencies, underpinned by well-being, self-awareness, motivation, conscientiousness, effectiveness and grit.

Future prospects:

After your Accounting apprenticeship progress into a full-time role as Junior Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Bookkeeping Assistant, Junior Tax Consultant or Audit Assistant. You can also complete the ACCA qualification into Chartered Accountancy.
