Events Steward

SEC, Glasgow

£8.39 per hour

Play your part in providing world leading customer service to thousands of people every week at one of the busiest venues in the world, where there are over 250 combined events annually taking place across the Scottish Event Campus.

This role is suitable for a person that would like to work in a fun, friendly team environment who will respect and strive to achieve the highest standard of service through positive partnerships.

This is a great opportunity for those who want to enjoy flexibility in their work patterns from evening and weekends to 40+ hours a week.

Event stewards are the first and last people visitors will meet when attending the SEC. It’s a varied role that will change depending on the nature of the event

  • Checking customer’s tickets to dealing with patron’s questions or queries.

  • Guiding customers to their seats to providing general directions

  • Meet and greet delegates attending European or International Conferences

  • Hospitality, car parks and traffic stewarding and other general stewarding duties

Wherever you work, you’ll be the fun, helpful and friendly face of the event.

You’ll receive full on the job training and have the support of a great delivery team that will work closely with you. As it’s a licensed venue the minimum age to apply is 18 years. To succeed in this role you will need to be energetic, outgoing and a great communicator. You should be comfortable working inside or outside with a positive, proactive attitude. You will use common sense and a friendly, approachable manner to help people and ensure events run safely.

Our fantastic training will grow your communication, customer service, health & safety, team working and problem-solving skills. There are opportunities to progress your career through promotion to roles including supervisor, control room staff and SIA specific roles.
