Job Description - Graduate Trainee Sales Account Manager - Life Sciences

The key responsibilities are to:
- Develop relationship with the customers
- Prospect for new business
- Understand customer needs and preferences and send customised product offers
- Make phone calls to the existing customers to better understand their needs
- Follow up leads
- Update the CRM database with the relevant sales information
- Keep abreast about the latest developments in the IVD market area
- Create spreadsheets and information packs containing the relevant scientific data and information and provide it to the customers
- Prepare quotes
- Manage and follow-up Sales Opportunities to ensure they move through the funnel in a timely manner
- Organize and execute sales presentations
- Provide fantastic customer service to our clients
- Liaise with Scientists in-house and at external organisations
- Track, collate and interpret sales figures
- Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue
- Generate timely sales reports
- Methodically document communications with the customers in customer relationship management (CRM) database
- Provide after-sales service
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
- Degree in Science, English or Humanities preferred
- Knowledge of Spanish, German, French, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin or Italian would be ideal
- Experience in commercial life sciences setting advantageous
- Experience in sales preferred
- Commercial acumen
- Excellent time management skills
- Very organised and methodical
- Proven track record of achieving goals
- Team player
- Gritty and determined
- Proven ability to think outside of the box and solve problems
- Happy to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
