Trainee Business Development Executive - Salary £ Competitive with OTE - Monday - Friday - Free Parking

Your new company:

The THOMAS Recruitment Group is exclusively recruiting for a trainee Business Development Executive on behalf of a market leading telecommunications supplier company, based in Chepstow.

Our client is seeking a tenacious and driven trainee Business Development Executive to be responsible for new business development and sales within a defined segment.

You will generate opportunities and sell products and services to achieve revenues in line with business objectives and sales targets.

Don't worry! You won't be alone. You will have a mentor who will provide training and support to ensure you progress through your 12-month development plan.

Your new role:

  • Drive Business Sales
  • To identify and target prospective new customers and develop sales of into all appropriate channels and verticals, as well as when directed, to existing customers.
  • Telephone sales role managing a portfolio via both cold calling and converting warm leads.
  • Management of sales opportunities over the phone, with a focus on managing the sales relationship, commercials etc.
  • Follow through account opportunities to close on the telephone or through face to face meetings, customer presentations, tender responses etc.
  • Maintain regular contact with accounts, both via written and verbal communication methods, ensuring that knowledge of the accounts within the company are up to date.
  • Updating and maintaining the CRM Systems and ERP System.
  • Present sales forecasts, pipeline and bid list for your account base throughout the month and quarter to your Manager.
  • Presenting a brief to Account managers and handing over established accounts.
  • Attend events and shows when applicable.
  • Match approach with service sales
  • Responsible for personal Health and Safety and operating in a manner which is safe personally and for others.
  • Follow all companies Policies and Procedures including but not limited to Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Information Security.
  • The role is also expected to perform any reasonable requests which are not defined but in the ability of the individual.

  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • Have GCSE's in Maths and English at Grade C or above
  • Language skills are desirable but not essential
