Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Engineering Technician Apprentice to join our business, working within our Southern England and Wales division. The successful individual will support our team with producing 3D and 4D modelling for use in our tenders and projects.

This three year apprenticeship will combine paid employment and block release study at Bridgwater and Taunton College (National College for Nuclear).

Your key actities will include:

  • Produce 3D and 4D models to a high standard for use both in tenders and projects, following company and industry processes.
  • Provide BIM delivery support for tenders and project teams.
  • Create, modify and review multi-discipline models.
  • Support organisational development in digital engineering, including progress reporting and training delivery.
  • Advise upon and support the use of digital technologies on projects including drones, laser scanning, photogrammetry, GPS Machine Control etc.
  • Communicate effectively in both written and spoken form with Client, colleagues, designers, stakeholders and supply chain.
  • Support the Southern England and Wales Digital Construction team in meeting their initiatives.
  • Share experience, expertise and knowledge with others in Southern England and Wales division and other business units.
  • Assist Southern England and Wales Digital Construction team in writing and delivering presentations and training.
  • Assist Southern England and Wales Digital Construction team in developing internal standards and procedures.
  • Promptly communicate any challenges encountered with the Southern England and Wales Digital Construction team and project or tender teams.
  • Provide updates to project and tender team during development of deliverables, ensuring that their expectations are met or exceeded.


Job Requirements
Your qualifications and skills should include:
  • 5 GCSE's A-C, including Maths and English.
  • Good Microsoft office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to adapt to different situations.
  • Able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel throughout southern England and Wales is essential. Apprentices may be required to live away from home during some site placements.
