Job Description
This is a paid position and will require you to work a minimum of 30 hours a week (including Saturday mornings) which shall be determined by work programme. The role will also include a full study programme, to ensure that all elements of the framework are satisfactorily completed, including:
- Level 2 Community Activator Coach
- Functional Skills in English & Maths (where appropriate
- Sport specific coaching qualifications, including the FA Level 1 badge.
- Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
- Behavioural Change E clinic
- Certificate in Leading Health Related activity sessions
- Level 3 First Aid at Work
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- To complete all elements of the framework within the allocated time period for this Apprenticeship.
- Establish and deliver pathways for a range of community individuals and groups to engage in physical activity and sport.
- Increase participation in sports and physical activity with particular focus on hard to reach groups
- Develop and engage with a wide range of partners and key stakeholders to develop and deliver sport and physical activity programmes.
- Plan sport, recreation and health initiatives that fit with RMFs social and business goals, and support implementation of intervention programmes
- Support and coordinate the delivery of relevant activities, classes and events, within a specific community or to targeted groups
- Raise public awareness of health and fitness issues and promote participation in physical activity and sport, particularly amongst underrepresented groups, using marketing tools
- Monitor and evaluate activities and projects using performance indicators and put in place continuous improvement action plans.
- Prepare and present management reports relating to the operation and performance of specific projects and wider activity.
- Record and report any injuries, accidents and suspicious or disclosures of abuse
- Be available to attend and where appropriate, coach at Russell Martin Foundation activities.
- Maintaining high ethical standards in work, ensuring they keep up to date with their knowledge, skills, qualifications and preparing all sessions in advance
- To promote the work of the organisation and ensure positive media is achieved through internal and external mediums – locally, regionally and nationally where applicable.
- To be committed to continuous professional development relevant to the post and personal training needs supporting future career advancement
- To carry out any administrative duties as necessary
- To complete the necessary work set through studying the Level 2 Community Activity Coach Apprenticeship.

- Ability to understand RMF coach roles and responsibilities

- Good levels of numeracy and literacy
- Knowledge of health and safety
Future Prospects :
The possibility to progress onto a higher qualification.
