Job Description
Your day to day duties will include:
- Mixing and clearing up
- Preparation work and boarding
- Plain internal plastering to solid and applied backgrounds
- Installing dry linings to timber backgrounds using mechanical fixings
- Installing direct bond dry linings
- Fixings metal trims
- Producing external solid render finishes
- Laying sand and cement floor screeds, level and to falls
- Manufacture, installation and repair of basic fibrous plaster components
As an apprentice, you will experience all types of plastering and labouring when needed, you will be taught how to work quickly and efficiently as well as safely at all times.
You will be working in a close knit experienced team to achieve deadlines whilst producing high standards of work. Any basic knowledge of the trade will be advantageous, and you must be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
You will undertake a wide range of duties in the workplace whilst studying for your plastering qualification. The ideal candidate will be dynamic and confident, enthusiastic with good attention to detail.
