HMS Care Newcastle are looking for reliable and dedicated community-based apprentice Care Assistants to join our established and reputable team to work with customers in their own homes in the Newcastle and North Tyneside areas. For the duration of your apprenticeship you will be buddied up with an experienced care assistant to gain valuable on the job training, as well as been given office time to complete a Standard 2 qualification in Adult Care
HMS Care provides the highest quality home care supporting people who wish to remain in their own homes.
Duties may include:
- Helping service users with morning routine - Getting up, dressed, breakfast etc.
- Helping with routines/reminders i.e. keeping track of appointments, medication, plans
- Assisting with meal prep, housework, shopping
- Ensuring correct support is provided for service users to engage in social activities, take care of their needs and retain independence in their own home
