Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Business Administration Apprentice



DEPARTMENT: Freight Filter



REPORTING TO: Ross Co - Founder



LOCATION: Chelmsford



MAIN WORKING RELATIONSHIPS



Reporting to the Ross Co Founder and working closely with the data team



GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION




  • Business Administration Apprentice - working directly with the founding team members and helping on a wide range of daily projects



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and customers

  • General administration tasks, including data entry, filing and answering the telephone

  • Data Processing and analysing freight data, rates, fees etc

  • Source data online and offline for freight data, rates, fees etc

  • Enter data onto in-house systems, spreadsheets and using logic and scripting

  • Develop the company’s marketing opportunities

  • Look at and develop web designs

  • Develop your knowledge of Global Logistics, freight, contracts and rates



CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT




  • Work with the team to continually improve processes and business performance

  • Support changes in the role necessary to take the department and business forward; and

  • Work to achieve personal objectives set at appraisal and/or those set monthly or quarterly



KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS




  • Achieve agreed individual objectives

  • Understand and adhere to all Freight Filter policies and procedures relevant to the role


Personal Qualities :

The candidate will need to be willing to learn and have a position attitude to the work they are doing.



Skills Required :

Candidates must have good attention to detail and be able to communicate well via telephone and face to face.



Future Prospects :

Should there be a vacant position at the end of the candidates apprenticeship and they have been successful in completing this, they would be considered for a full time, permanent position within Freight Filter.
