Vacancy Description 



Main Purpose and Scope of the Job:




  • Installation and Decommissioning of Spiral and IQF Systems (under supervision)

  • Service works on Spiral and IQF Systems (under supervision)

  • Reactive breakdowns on Spiral and IQF Systems (under supervision)

  • Onsite training given to develop engineering skills set

  • Site working including weekends



Position in Organisation:




  • Reports To: Onsite Supervisor

  • Responsible For: Carrying out engineering works onsite

  • Budget Responsibilities: To assist in projects within budget & timescale



Duties and Key Responsibilities:




  • Carrying out inspections under supervision

  • Carrying out engineering works onsite under supervision

  • Carrying out installation of Spiral and IQF freezers on site under supervision

  • The role involves working on site including weekends



General Responsibilities:




  • Maintain an adequate level of knowledge on relevant health and safety legislation, guidance and current best practices

  • Set a good personal example to all



Look after their own health and safety with specific responsibilities and to achieve this they must:




  • Fully co-operate with Management to achieve the Company's Health and Safety Policy objectives

  • Work safely and efficiently by following health and safety instructions and procedures and by using and correctly maintaining safety devices, equipment, personal protective equipment and any other item provided for their health and safety

  • Report to their immediate manager or supervisor all defects in premises, plant, equipment, systems of work or other things which may affect health and safety

  • Report all accidents, injuries, diseases, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences to their immediate manager or supervisor, regardless of whether damage or injury has occurred

  • Read and obey all warnings, instructions, rules, written procedures, safety warnings or hazard signs relating to their health and safety or the care or use of equipment or systems of work

  • Attend all training or health and safety meetings or presentations as directed by their manager or supervisor

  • Look after themselves and their colleagues at all times and observe their legal duty of care to themselves and others who may be affected by their work

  • Report all apparent failures in the Health and Safety Policy and procedures to their immediate manager or supervisor who will conduct an investigation and inform the Managing or Operations Director
