Job Description

Our client has an exciting opportunity for aStudent Finance Advisor to join their team. This is a full time fixed term contract from 5th August 2019 - 15th November 2019offering a competitive salary of £17,636 per annum pro rota.

The Student Finance Advisor Role:

You will ensure, in conjunction with the Student Welfare Coordinator, that all applications for Student Finance are assessed within published and agreed turnaround times.

You'll ensure that students can access and have information on Student Finance information as well as provide an outstanding Front of House service for Student Experience areas.

As our Student Finance Advisor you will:

- Provide an outstanding Front of House service for Student Experience.

- Provide accurate and timely administration to support applications that are made for Student Finance.

- Support and assess applications made for Student Finance.

- Operate in a flexible manner to provide cover across Students Experience functions as and when required e.g. course enquires, open evenings, lunch breaks, Students' Union

- Deliver high quality customer service to all enquirers in relation to a wide range of Student Experience provision.

- Participate in The College's appraisal process and to undertake any training that may be appropriate.

- Work with the Student Welfare Coordinator on further developments and improvements to the Student Finance processes

- Work with all areas of Student Experience to ensure that there is appropriate levels of support with cross team projects.

- Take appropriate responsibility to ensure the health and safety of self and others.

- Pursue the achievement and integration of equal opportunities throughout all The College's activities

The idealStudent Finance Advisor will need:

- Experience of working with young people.

- Knowledge of basic financial, budgetary and accounting procedures.

- Outstanding Customer Service

- Sound general office and administration experience

- Experience and competence of MS Office IT skills

- 5 GCSEs(or equivalent) including Maths and English

- Educated to Level 3 or be willing towards a Level 3 qualification.
