Trainee Recruitment Consultants

£18-20,000 base plus new starter commission structure

South Coast - Southampton, Winchester, Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Fareham, Eastleigh, Whiteley

People Prospect Solutions continue to place trainee recruiters across South Coast locations on behalf of our clients. We are looking in Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester, Bournemouth & Chichester.

If you have a background in some of the following roles, then please consider recruitment as your next career path. You need to be very ambitious and money motivated. Ideally you will have experience with B2B/B2B sales (Telesales, Estate Agency, Sales Exec, Car Sales, Door to Door Sales etc.)

You really need to consider if recruitment is going to be the right career path for you. It is a very difficult job, you have to learn how to do B2B Sales on the phone and with that there is a high level of rejection involved. It is very demanding and requires someone who has extreme enthusiasm and determination. If you are up for the challenge, then recruitment is a fantastic life-long career which will allow you to quickly progress and the earning potential is phenomenal.

What does the role as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant involve?

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant you will be what is known in the industry as a 360 recruiter, meaning you will not only source candidates through databases, advertisements, social network and headhunting but also develop new business through cold calling businesses to build your own client base. Recruitment is a sales role and so you will have the pressure of targets and KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) to hit. You have to prepare yourself for the amount of rejection involved but know that when you do well in recruitment you can earn a six figure salary.

  • A degree in essential in this role (preferably at least a 2:1 in an academic subject)
  • Strong telephone and communication skills
  • Driven, determined and money motivated
  • Intelligent and Articulate
  • Well presented - (This is a client facing, professional role - you need to be clean cut and suited and booted!)
  • A natural sales ability
  • Sales experience (not essential)
