Job Description

Key Responsibilities:




  • To comply with and ensure adherence to all written operating procedures, including operator checklists and self-audit sheets and to ensure that all process route cards are accurately and fully completed

  • To ensure that customers’ components are handled correctly, during all stages of processing, to minimise any possibility of damage

  • To ensure that customers’ components are returned in a clean and well-presented manner and are properly packaged to avoid damage during transit

  • To ensure that those sections of the company’s quality manual, including specific work instructions, that relate to your daily activities, are clearly understood and adhered to at all times

  • To ensure that all equipment is operated according to, and in strict adherence to, the correct Operating Procedures and “Best Practice” agreements at all times

  • To assist site management and health & safety rep(s) in ensuring that all health & safety requirements (including both HSE Regulations & Company guidelines) are complied with and adhered to in the course of day-to-day working, negating any risk of endangering yourself, your colleagues or the plant

  • To ensure that immediate working areas are maintained in a clean and tidy condition to promote efficient working practices, and to ensure all equipment is left clean, tidy and in working order at the end of the shift.

  • To ensure that the Maintenance malfunction/breakdown reporting system is adhered to, by logging and informing Maintenance personnel and/or a Shift Supervisor, of any equipment failure at the earliest opportunity in order to minimise the impact of furnace downtime

  • To ensure that you comply and strictly adhere to both Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and Company requirements in respect of wearing Personal Protective Equipment and carrying out Manual Lifting operations

  • To familiarise yourself with the Hazardous substances (C.O.S.H.H.) datasheets relating to the chemicals you utilise within the workplace, and to strictly adhere to guidelines related to their usage

  • To assist in the induction and training & development of team members/new starters as required
