Job Description

Leisure Operational Services Apprentice level 2 - Newmarket Abbeycroft Leisure are recruiting for a Level 2 Qualification in Leisure Operational Services Apprentice to join their team at Newmarket While you work 35 hours per week over a flexible shift pattern anytime between 6am-1pm you will also get dedicated time with a mentor and tutor to guide you in gaining the key skill set you will need to establish your career in the fitness industry, become an accomplished and fully qualified Leisure Operational. Key duties: Ensuring the safe use of the Centre's facilities by members of the public including supervision of the swimming pools Undertaking general Reception duties to include welcoming customers, sales of memberships and products, answering To assist members of the public in their use of the facilities and encourage maximum use of the facilities. Assisting the Centre Management Team with the safe operation of the building, including opening and closing procedures. To undertake cleaning and basic maintenance of the facility, equipment and furniture. Undertake lifeguarding duties (once the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) has been obtained) Carrying out safety and hygiene checks of the building, equipment and machinery at regular intervals including fire appliances, alarms and first aid equipment. Carrying out regular cleaning of wet and dry public areas, changing rooms and poolside areas. Carrying out any other duties that may be required by the Centre Management Team Taking deliveries of goods/equipment, making stock checks.
