Job Description

Our client is a specialist provider of IT Cyber Security Support Services to businesses and financial institutions across the UK.

They are seeking to recruit a number of Trainee On-site IT Cyber Support Technicians to work with their expanding client base - helping with IT cyber security support for their day-to-day operations.

With Cyber Security being certified as the UKs fastest growing IT job sector in 2018, this entry-level role is an ideal way to break into IT Cyber Security; plus there will be opportunities to develop your skills and acquire certifications on the job. Working closely with the Senior Departments, the successful candidates will gain valuable experience of providing IT Cyber Security Support functions within an office environment and experience of working for respected organisations.

Interested? To be considered:

You will be a person with a keen interest in IT. You may already have a qualification in IT - such as a CompTIA A or CompTIA Security Certification, or be willing to, prior to consideration, commit to studying for a CompTIA certification, details can be provided if required. You will enjoy working with people as well as technology and be comfortable talking to a wide range of users as this role is as much about helping people as solving technical issues.

Typical responsibilities:
- Administration of various IT systems, including telephony systems.
- Upkeep and control of office IT equipment and general networking infrastructure.
- Undertaking IT Security inductions to new starters and providing general technical guidance.
- Installing, supporting and maintaining PC hardware and software.

- Assisting with technical and networking projects and hardware installation.
- Administering email, anti-spam and virus protection.
- Setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
- Monitoring network usage.
- Providing IT activity reports to the senior department.

Key skills:
- A good basic understanding of computers.
- An interest in and aptitude for developing IT.
- An organised approach with the ability to take guidance from the senior team.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Punctual and reliable.

A CompTIA Certification would be advantageous, but as no previous experience or qualifications are required, the role would also suit an unqualified but keen, hardworking motivated candidate who wants to rapidly develop their career within the IT industry.
