Job Description

The job role will to be to assist the director and any other member of staff in their duties. The role is a varied position, and the candidate will need to be both flexible and adaptable in their approach.



There is no set department, as the role will cover everything from ordering in stock right through to final invoicing processes.



Key responsibilities will be to carry out daily processes as required:




  • To help keep a safe and tidy working environment (office and warehouse areas)

  • Make sure stock levels are adequate, and order in more stock as and when required

  • Take orders and enter these onto the system

  • Process orders (pick and pack), then despatch by various methods

  • Process invoices and statements

  • Take enquiries from customers and deal with appropriately

  • Assist in running the internet side of the business, and also look to develop new opportunities

  • Assist in the maintenance and development of Social Media

  • Create, amend and distribute flyers and promotional material to existing customers and new

  • Carry out any research needed to develop new product ranges, and also carry out any testing of samples



Other daily duties will include:




  • Answering the telephone, and dealing with any orders, enquiries and accurately recording information from those calls, and relaying to the relevant person

  • Making telephone calls; This would include placing stock orders, calling customers with updates, and calling new customers

  • Using Sage accounts software, excel, word, email, publisher for daily processes

  • Booking in stock, and where required, i.e-pack stock as required

  • Keeping the workplace tidy

  • Adhere to all the policies as set out in our guidelines (H+S, Risk assessments, first aid, fire evacuation, and all general workplace guidelines)

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship…….



There will be a full-time position within the company. The position will be to assist in the daily running of the business. There will also be opportunities to research and develop new product ranges and take to market.



The role may also involve visiting existing and new customers, so there will be an opportunity to develop new business partnerships and also get training in sales techniques and negotiations.



As importers of goods from the Far East, there will also be the opportunity to develop new links with potential suppliers.
