Job Description
Abbey Park School is seeking an apprentice to learn with our experienced and professional team.
- The successful candidate will gain experience working with students with a range of special needs; literacy and numeracy difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions and social and emotional difficulties.
- Initially the apprentice will work under the direct supervision of a higher level teaching assistant moving on to supporting students in main stream classes under the direction of the class teacher. The apprentice will work with students from years 7 and 8.
- Additional duties will include listening to students read and supporting other teaching assistants with groups at lunch time.
- You will be given an induction programme and be expected to take part in whole school and department training
- You will be under the supervision and have the support of one of our experienced Teaching Assistants
- There will be opportunities to take part in enrichment activities and school trips that match your own interests.

Future Prospects :
There may be the opportunity to apply progres on to a Level 3 apprenticeship or permanent opportuntities if available upon completion of the Level 2.
