Job Description
A traineeship is a course with work experience that gets you ready for work or an apprenticeship. It can last up to 6 months.
You can apply if you’re:
- Eligible to work in England
- Unemployed and have little or no work experience
- Aged 16 to 24 and qualified below Level 3
You’ll get:
- A work experience placement
- Help with English and maths (if you need it)
You won’t be paid, but you may be given expenses for things like travel and meals.
Criteria:
This 9 week accredited programme is free for those who meet this criteria:
- You will need to be 18 to 24 years old
- You should not be in education, employment or training
- You must attend an interview on Thursday 23rd May between 1:30 and 5:30pm at The Summit Community Centre, Portland Ave, Hackney N16 6HA
- You will need to be available to attend all training days over the 9 week course period
How to Apply
Email an up to date CV to Darren. by 5pm on
Monday 20th May along with details of the trade you are interested in:
- You need to bring all previous certificates qualifications with you
- You also need to provide proof of your National Insurance Number and proof of unemployment, e.g. a letter from Job Centre Plus
- Photo ID passport or drivers licence
- Proof of address
You will get practical experience including stripping, wall repairs, replacing flooring and laying carpet tiles, redecorating including the use of a mobile tower. This project will allow our partner contractor ENGIE to provide a positive work reference for you and to witness your potential on a live site.
Personal Qualities :
- You must be willing to attend all days of the Traineeship
Skills Required :
- No skills are needed for this course it is aimed at level 1
Future Prospects :
- There is the potential of an apprenticeship or a job at the end of the course
