Job Description

Duties will include, but not limited to: 



You will support health and social care professionals by:




  • Learning how to provide individualised care for service users

  • Learning how to provide structured recreational activities for service users, both individually and in group sessions

Ability to:




  • Commute between the various sites

  • Undertake all Trust Mandatory and statutory training

  • Occasionally work to unpredictable patterns

  • Occasionally be exposed to emotional, distressing or hazardous situations e.g. verbal aggression, bodily fluids

  • Work flexibly and as part of a team

  • Willingness to undertake further study and personal development

Skills Required :

  • Good standard of written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic IT skills

  • Have a commitment to achieve care certificate and level 2 Health and Social Care Apprenticeship qualification if you don’t already hold this

  • Care Certificate or required to achieve within 12 weeks of commencement



Future Prospects :

This is a permanent position. At the end of the apprenticeship qualification, there could be further opportunities. 



Undertake all mandatory and internal training. Subject to yearly appraisal to ensure appropriate recognition and thanks for your efforts and to help pinpoint how further development, change or support may help you to achieve even higher levels if you feel this is something which could be pursued. On a small number of occasions, this part of the appraisal may also identify specific behaviours which fall short of expectations and which require improvement or development to ensure levels of behaviour reach the same high standards set by your colleagues.
