Job Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity to start your Learning Support Assistant Career. Working under the instruction and guidance of teaching staff you will provide work, care and support programmes, enabling access to learning for pupils whilst undertaking a Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. the approved apprenticeship training provider is Bucks Adult Learning. You will be on a fixed term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship.
- Supervise and support the teaching activities of individuals or groups of children to ensure their safety and facilitate in their physical, intellectual and emotional development.
- Monitor individual pupil’s progress, achievements, problems, condition and development needs reporting to the responsible teacher as appropriate
- Assist the teacher in the development, delivery and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care Programmes for individuals or groups of children.
Personal Qualities :
To have an empathetic and patient nature and an interest in supporting the development of children.
Skills Required :
GCSE grades A* to C or 9-4 equivalent or Functional Skills at Level 1
Ideally have experience working with children and young people.
A strong literacy and numeracy skills and be reliable, punctual and resilient
Future Prospects :
You will be on a fixed term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship and on completion able to apply for any appropriate vacant roles.
