Job Description

One of the UK's leading and independently owned TV Production companies is in need of a part-time HR Manager, covering all generalist aspects of HR, whilst also getting involved with both wider engagement and strategic planning pieces. Working alongside the Group Operations Director, this is a fantastic opportunity to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the HR department and with a number of objectives already outlined:

  1. Policies, procedures and contracts review.
  2. Design and delivery of a new employee engagement and appraisal initiative.
  3. Implementation of a new employee development plan.
  4. Review the existing remuneration offering.
  5. Streamlining of recruitment and talent attraction offering.

With this being a broad and autonomous role, the workload would be varied and challenging, with responsibilities including:

  • Delivering effective and efficient HR operational solutions, that meet the businesses needs and ensure compliance and proactively drive improvements.
  • Providing support to the management and senior leadership team, in the development, roll-out and ongoing supervision of a performance management system.
  • Advising and providing guidance on absence management, disciplinary, grievance, maternity, paternity and performance management etc.
  • Helping streamline internal recruitment activities to improve talent attraction and broaden the network of permanent and freelance candidates.
  • Working alongside the Group Operations Director to design and implement people plans and HR initiatives.
  • Managing the successful delivery of HR administration across the full employee lifecycle including new starters, contracts, benefits, pensions and data.
  • Leading the maintenance and development of Group HR policies, processes and templates.
  • Overseeing permanent headcount payroll activity and benefits administration.

This position is ideally suited to a proven HR Manager or Business Partner who is now looking for a part-time opportunity and who can utilise their experience to further enhance the departments offering and develop employee engagement across the whole business.

Due to the fluid nature of creative businesses, a pragmatic and solutions orientated approach, opposed to a "one size fits all" is needed and it is essential that all applicants possess an excellent understanding of generalist HR practices and employee engagement pieces, whilst being clear communicators, approachable, adaptable and capable of seeing the bigger "people" picture.

A similar background from a creative sector such as Advertising/Media, creative or other Entertainment business (Film, Music, TV etc) would be great groundings for this role.

Full-time equivalent salary = £60,000 - 65,000 Benefits

Part-time 3-days week salary = £36,000 - 40,000 Benefits
