Job Description

Duties will include:




  • You will need to be a part of the completion of development work

  • Communication of test reports and results within the development team

  • Drawing of conclusions from the results

  • You will also be required to help completion of other work within the development department to support initiatives at the time e.g. continuous improvement

  • Upon suitable training, you will be able to manufacture prototype assemblies, parts and test rigs for R&D dept, provide engineering support for all projects in the dept to meet the required timescales & assemble and set up of original equipment for test

The R&D apprenticeship will provide the opportunity to learn and develop manufacturing skills such as milling, turning, grinding & drilling etc as well as exposure to the development and design of new products.

  • Open, approachable person who can work well together with other people inside and outside their own department (team player)

  • Ability to prioritise (self-management)



Skills Required :

  • Ability to function in multiple team roles & is self-motivated

  • Computer literate and proficient user of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)

  • Problem solving capability

  • Structured approach to Managing Tasks.



Future Prospects :

Possibility of employment at the end of the apprenticeship programme.
