Job Description

To be trained in the following job duties:




  • Data input duties and to assist with the preparation of reports using College Information systems

  • Taking telephone and other telecommunications messages

  • To undertake general filing of electronic and paper correspondence for Directorate / Department

  • All non-confidential word processing

  • To assist staff in preparation of learning materials (where appropriate)

  • To facilitate the use of a Multi-Functional Device (MFD) for Directorate / Departmental staff

  • To keep Directorate / Departmental notice boards up to date

  • To assist with enrolment (including evening enrolment in August / September each year)

  • To support staff in receiving visitors to the Directorate / Department

  • To actively show a commitment to the Directorate / Departmental Strategic Objectives

  • To show an active commitment to the College's Equality and Diversity Policy, Quality Frameworks and Health and Safety Procedures

  • To actively participate in Continuous Professional Development including the introduction of new technologies to allow you to contribute effectively to the success of the College

  • To carry out such other appropriate duties commensurate with your skills, knowledge and experience

  • The College may, in consultation with you, need to vary these duties from time to time in order to respond to the changing requirements of the College
